In the UK, there isn’t much visibility for R&B music; especially when it comes to national artists.
Taste is a new platform devoted to uplifting and spreading the work R&B artists are releasing focusing on music coming from the UK and US. We aim to be a place where the genre can have highlighted visibility and a lack of confusion in its surrounding discussion.
I started working on Taste in 2018 creating a concept issue in which I rounded up the music I was listening to that year, I wrote reviews and artist spotlights and crafted a small zine I then posted online.
Since the initial concept issue, I have worked to properly brand the magazine and have refined the magazine’s content, look & feel as well as target audience.
